Took a short walk down the driveway and along the creek this morning. It's around 15 degrees and beautiful out with no sign yet of the snowstorm we're hoping will kick off the skiing season.
I asked my friends Grouse, Fox and Rabbit for a suggestion on what to read when I'm finished with N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy. I asked Beaver too, but she wouldn't come out of her den and didn't want to talk to me, maybe because-- as you can see from the photo-- she left her dishes along the trail for me to slip over.
But the other guys offered up THE GIRL WHO FELL FROM THE SKY by Heidi Durrow, probably because they're Game of Thrones geeks and it's produced by and starring Sansa. I mean Sophie Turner. Anyway, it's on order. When I mentioned that Durrow's not Alaskan, they said they were and that was good enough for them. Anyway, I'll let you know what I think of the book, hopefully before the movie comes out.
